That was not a accident, he was mad and he said “you wanna see how dangerous that is?” And he hit the brakes. He did it on purpose, he should be fired
That was not that bad… They should stay seated. They need to learn the lesson.. Stay seated or you can get hurt! Ive done the same thing in my car with my own children. Young parents, smh🤦🏾.
I’m not sure what happened between the 80s, when I was a kid, and now but parents…y’all need to toughen your kids up and stop letting them act like such spoiled brats. Stops like that were an every day occurrence on our bus route. Hell, we we’re lucky to stay in our seats on the drive home. The fact that we, as a country, find it permissible to condemn this man in any way just shows you how ill prepared kids these days are going to be for the real world. A real accident would most likely happen b/w 35-50mph. Put that into perspective for your kids who were complaining of being hurt. If they were hurt it’s prob bc they were one of the ones not sitting in their seats like they were told. Congrats to this driver for trying to give these kids a dose of reality. Buses are far from safe so just sit tf down and listen to the man!
Still feels like a dream each day I think of the fact that real flips still exist Maskoffaid made the difference. He is awesome

At the same time, the kids aren’t sitting right to start with! & I remember days like this, 😂 the back sit was the wild ride
I would’ve much rather him write them up and LET ME DISCIPLINE my kids. Who the hell is he to teach them in that manner. Not to mention not ALL kids were bouncing around as he stated. How is he going to punish all of them for the misbehavior of some. Also, kids are a reflection of the parent so if your kids are acting up well….. enough said!
Child abuse is still child abuse and those that find hurting kids as an acceptable way to teach them a lesson need help and to stay far away from kids.
Kids were all seated the entire time of the video. Who is he talking too ?
Lol. It's sad how soft people are becoming.
Give that man a raise.
What a fantasitic driver ❤wish him to set such a great example to my kids!
Regardless if he was in the wrong or not, it sure got them to straighten up and be seated properly immediately.
Good bus driver. Children have NO respect for anyone. I think he taught them a good lesson. Parents are raising pansy, victims that do no wrong in their parents eyes. My parents would have applauded this bus driver for taking action. He should not be fired and school busses have needed seat belts for too long now. Stop buying new, comfy teachers lounge furniture and spend the money on seat belts so these unruly kids will be safer during a real crash situation.
Real nice😡…driver has a seat belt the kids dont…glad he was charged
School Bus drivers should not need to be the ONLY adult on the bus. After 30 or more years why do these things STILL not have required by law seat belts AND between 1 and 2 other Adults to help keep order? or alternately why can't schools, work and parents coordinate so busses are only used on field trips? You could have schedules shifted so parents are free to drop off and pick up kids them selves or have parents pay an adult to transport there children for them Can we trust an Uber to take kids to school? Honestly would not know n ever used one. Or an other idea, raise kids to respect each other and adults. Kids in Japan can ride trains alone can we get American kids to be respectful? Or we could put school kids on trains. Or build bus different. a barrier between the driver and kids, barriers between each row of seats. Pads on the floors. Maybe seat belts that go on and stay on and only remove when the bus stops.
Too bad seat belts aren't mandatory on buses.
Ever heard of seat belts? Geez, wouldn’t want to drive a school bus or teach school today, might get charged with “abuse” 😵💫

Where are seatbelts for school buses?
I guess my only question is because I am a parent. You're gonna allow your child to be running up-and-down in a bus? No I'm not exactly sure because I didn't show everything! It just showed the moment that he did it. But if they are running up-and-down in the bus and there was a car accident God forbid there is everyone, But there was a car accident involving that bus with your child on it and your child is running up-and-down the bus, You're gonna tell me that once your child would be seriously freaking hurt like in the hospital you will still blame that bus driver because he didn't Dodge whatever came at him. So no matter what he would have done he still would have been in the bad. Maybe you should start driving your children to school. Because seriously you just basically fired a bus driver because he was trying to protect your children in case of something that should might happen. And FYI I want to be surprised on how many frequent bus drivers actually do get in car accidents due to how much they travel and the driver's out in cities and towns. You can't predict that stuff . But you can't get them prepared for that kind of stuff.
Not all the kids were acting up. That is not how you Teach a lesson. It can cause bodily harm, ie child abuse.
My bus driver did that often in Louisiana back in the early 80's. 😮
Officer: Let me guess; you’re a red blooded American whose daddy whupped you good. And you grew up to be a successful school bus driver.
Bus Driver: Yes! And Donald trump is my Lord and savior. We cain’t be spoilin ‘ dee children!”
Bus driver if you read this you should gather all these positive messages of parents from many platforms who side with you and understand what you were trying to teach the children when you counter-sue. Someone is leading these parents to make them think it's OK to sue this driver care with child abuse! If you would have been in a real accident and children get hurt or even worse die they would look at the video clip and ask why weren't they in their seats and why didn't you tell them anything and if you say, "Well they don't listen" they would turn around and tell you it's your job to have them listen. The district and parents should take some of the blame and use this as a learning opportunity to ask their, children to listen and sit in their seats. The school district may want to invest in some school bus safety. Everyone learns and grows.
We have made a GoFundme for the poor man! Just got to gofundme and search bus driver legal that’s by Evan
I’m sorry but if they were following the directions from the driver he would not have had to go to such drastic measures. Imagine if they had been in a real accident and were not in their seats, imagine the injuries they could have sustained. This society needs to stop coddling their kids.
Teaching kids to seat properly plus they need seat belts i don't know if he was wrong or right honestly but lesson learned. 🤷😅🤦✌
Brake check 😂 that's all ?
Yes kids can get out of hand that why they need 2 people on the bus to supervis these kids and parents need to teach their children manners it was wrong the way he went about it but he was tried of the kids jumping around and not setting down in there sets correctly. There are better ways of discipline. And the parents should know with that many kids acting up can cause a bad accident. He was wrong but not all his fault. The fault belongs on the parents as well
People cry about everything nowadays, my gosh
Yep that's how you do it
The driver should get a medal and kids should be told of by their parents.
Bus seats should have seatbelts.
I don't blame him. But there are other alternative ways to fix this kind of problem.
Conservatives are Stoopid
You're idiocy high when you think being reckless teaches kids a lesson.
I see nothing wrong lol they act like one of the kids flew out the windshield
Can't believe all the comments supporting his actions. Noticed one child had a pencil in her hand and near her face. If the pencil had penetrated her face or worse her eye, driver would've definitely been charged with reckless endangerment/child abuse. Of all the years I rode the school bus, not one time did a driver do this. On occasion the driver would pull over and scold us, but never tried to injure us. This is not being soft or "woke". It's called common sense. After all, would you do this to your own kids?
The company will throw u under the bus. It's not worth being a bus driver. As bad as they need drivers. They will hire u just to fire u.🤔🤔🤔
Personally, I don't see what the problem is. 🤷 And I seriously doubt there were any serious injuries. I bet those kids still didn't get the message anyway. When I was a kid, we rolled around in the back of station wagons and got bumped around 5x harder than this. People are waaaaaaaaaaay to righteousthese days, everyone wants lawsuit fame and fortune. 🙄🥱😑
This days, you can’t do that anymore no matter how bad kids are, you’ll get fired, sued, taken to jail, he should’ve had reported this, and kept reported it!
Unfortunately everything is backwards now, good is bad, and bad is good!!
Kids have no discipline, their disrespectful, rude, or worse…
He deserves to never drive a bus again
Dude just taught them a lesson they will never forget. Those parents are puss-c
Literally didn't "slam" on the breaks. Their butts didn't even slide forward on their seats. 🤡🌎
