The controversial actor is enjoying his first lead function in three years in “Jeanne du Barry,” which opened Cannes Movie Pageant Tuesday. The film, which stars Depp as King Louis XV and French actress Maïwenn because the king’s mistress, reportedly acquired a seven-minute standing ovation, and pageant attendees are speaking concerning the movie’s tense information convention Wednesday, to which Depp arrived late.
